Former Director of Ophthalmology, Children's Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine (Provincial Children's Health Care), engaged in clinical, teaching and scientific research work in ophthalmology for 38 years, and keep studying during his medical career: 1 year of study at Zhongshan Eye Center of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences; 3 months of clinical training at Prince of Wales Hospital of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Medical School; 6 months of visiting study at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Medical School; and more than 6 months of visiting study at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in the United States.

Able to independently diagnose and treat various ophthalmic diseases, with superb surgical skills, he was assigned by the Ministry of Health to the "Health Express" to provide free surgery for cataract patients in poor areas. Mainly engaged in the research of neovascular eye diseases, he has deep attainments in the diagnosis and treatment of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), strabismus and amblyopia, entropion, ptosis, corneal diseases, diabetic eye diseases, cataracts, and tear duct diseases.

He undertook and successfully completed two National Natural Science Foundation projects and a number of provincial, ministerial and bureau-level scientific research projects. He has won three third prizes for Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress, the second prize for Zhejiang Provincial Health Department Science and Technology Progress, and the first and second prizes of Jinhua Municipal Health Bureau. He is the deputy editor-in-chief of a book and has published more than 40 articles, including 15 SCl papers.
